Spring into Summer by celebrating Memorial Day in Downtown Flagstaff! We have been working with our City and County partners to carefully reopen businesses and plan safe gatherings this Memorial Day weekend - so let’s enjoy and safely celebrate! Here are our top 5 picks for things to do in Downtown Flagstaff.
Start your weekend off with Yoga on the Lawn
Every Saturday at 9am on the County Courthouse Lawn (200 N. San Francisco), Holly White teaches an amazing yoga class! This physically distance-friendly event is for yogis of all ages and skill levels. PLUS all participants get 10% off at The Juice Pub and Eatery and Winter Sun Trading Co. No registration is required, only a $5 drop in fee that can be paid via cash or venmo. Don't forget your mat or towel from home!
Enjoy a day on Heritage Square
After yoga, treat yourself to a beverage or breakfast in the heart of downtown. Heritage Square recently added new gazebos and plenty of seating options. We recommend getting your beverage from The Flagstaff Coffee Company, Late for the Train or Firecreek Coffee Company or get a meal to go from the Downtown Diner, MartAnnes or Brandy’s Downtown. At Heritage square you can soak in the sun and most likely a few great tunes from local performing artists.
Rev up and take a tour with Electric Bikes of Flagstaff
New to Downtown Flagstaff is Electric Bikes of Flagstaff offering awesome electric bike excursions either solo or following tours including riding the hill to experience mountain top views, cruising the Flagstaff trail system or a ride and walk tour of historic downtown. BONUS they paired up with pub next door Hops on Birch for an “earn your beer” challenge so don’t forget to stop by there too. Get ready to experience downtown from another perspective!
Oh yes, patio season has arrived
From patios to parklets, Downtown Flagstaff has a spot for you to take in the beautiful outdoor weather. Enjoy a beer on Pay N’ Take’s new stunning grass parklet or a pizza on the patio of Pizzicletta where you get a great view of the beautiful Flagstaff sunset. Want to grab a locally crafted beer? Mother Road Brewing Co has a great large patio that welcomes fur friends too! Speaking of large awesome patios we must mention Tourist Home & Annex Cocktail Lounge combined patios as one of our favorites. The food and the atmosphere are incredible.
Get some farm fresh foods at the Farmers Market
The Farmer’s Market is a Flagstaff staple on Sunday mornings and resumed its 21st season this year. This lively gathering brings local producers together selling regional produce, prepared food, breakfast, tamales, meats, jams, breads, vegan food, fresh flowers, and so much more! You will be sure to go home with something to talk about. The Farmer’s Market is open Sunday’s 8am to noon and is located in the City Hall Parking lot at 211 W Aspen Ave.
