Finding a way to spend your Halloween weekend can be harrowing when there are so many terrific affairs to attend. Care to narrow it down to a few frightful events to make an appearance at? Below are some can't-miss events hosted in downtown Flagstaff the weekend of Halloween!

October 27th is a busy day full of costume parties, karaoke and more...

Costume Contest at the Drinking Horn Meadery:

Enjoy your favorite horn of mead while donning your best Halloween attire in an attempt to beat the competition! Whether you are a vampire or a zombie, as long as you are “creepin” it real you'll have a chance to win some awesome prizes at this free event from 8-9 p.m. !

Next Level Kostume Karaoke: 

Did you dress as your favorite pop star or musical icon for Halloween? Visit the Orpheum Theatre at 9 p.m. to showcase your inner talent at Kostume Karaoke, a free event! Unleash your inner diva and wow the crowd with your musical talent! Prizes will be included for the best costume and best performance, better start warming your vocal cords now…

Freaky Foot Tours Presents:

Feeling brave? Follow along a freaky tour that will take you all throughout downtown to witness some of the landmark locations of these spooky stories. An approximate 1-mile adventure throughout the streets and sidewalks of downtown Flagstaff, this tour will take about 75 minutes of hauntingly good fun! Visit their website and choose from the many dates they have to offer!

Pumpkin Carving Party:

From 4-6 p.m. this all-ages event takes place at the Dark Sky Brewing Company beer garden. Come carve pumpkins and enjoy the fall ambiance with your family at this dog friendly patio! Pumpkins are provided by Dark Sky and the Arboretum! All pumpkins carved will be put on display at the Arboretum for the pumpkin walk on Saturday the 28th. Be sure to purchase tickets for the pumpkin walk in advance so you and your family are ready for some Fall fun at this pumpkin peruse. 

October 28th has even more family friendly, dog friendly and fun friendly events to offer!

Gear Girls Ghoulish Gala: 

Gear Girls is a local nonprofit organization that encourages young girls in grades 4-8 to build confidence and capability in outdoor sports and activities. Peace Outfitters is hosting a Halloween themed event from 5-7 p.m. that will include the sale of drink wristbands, raffle tickets and be asking for donations to help support Gear Girls’ initiative. 

Nightmare on Aspen Street:

A Halloween bash to die for! Hosted by the Orpheum this 18+ dance party will be a night-mare to remember, enjoy a haunted happy hour from 9 p.m.- 10 p.m. After enjoying your mysterious concoctions, be sure you are dressed to impress! Don your creepiest, most wicked costumes to tantalize or terrify the judges for the costume contest! Gather your ghouls and snap some spine-chilling pictures in the photo booth to never forget this night of horrors! Buy tickets at their website.

Poochy Halloween Costume Contest:

Hops on Birch didn't forget about your furry friends at home! Downtown Flagstaff has so many fun family-friendly Halloween events to offer, even ones that your dog can participate in! Head over to Hops on Birch on Saturday October 28th from 3-5 p.m. and enter your pooch in this costume contest! Prizes are available and donations will be made to the High Country Humane Society!

Brews and Cues Halloween Party:

Celebrate the approaching holidays with Brews and Cues! Don your favorite creepy costume for the costume contest at 7 p.m. with prizes for: Best Couple or Group, Most Original, and Best Overall.  

80's Night at Yucca:

Rise from the dark in your best vampire attire and join DJ's Sweet Nabeal and Baby Yoda for an 80's dance party starting at 9 p.m. This event requires no charge so dust those cobwebs off your coffins and boogie all night!

The Hive's 2nd Annual Haunted Halloween:

Hosted by the Hive and KJack Radio this is an all ages event with a $12 cover. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. with music from Keegan Halvorsen and The Woke Mob, Dead Dudes, Glue Sticks and Arrlo! With live music, pumpkin carving and a costume contest this is a can't miss event! 

October 29th, as Halloween approaches so do more festive events!

Tarot and Rune Readings at Drinking Horn:

From 5-8 p.m. join Drinking Horn for some tantalizing tarot readings. Get introspective this Halloweekend with Ashley Null as she helps you explore your questions of self! Join your friends come solo for this unpredictable night of fun! Prices vary according to readings. 

October 31st, Halloween has arrived! Enjoy trick-or-treating downtown to wrap up an amazing Halloweekend!

Trick or Treat Trail:

Looking for family-friendly plans the night of Halloween? Head to Heritage Square from 4-7 p.m. for trick or treating at over 40+  downtown businesses, crafts in the square and a freaky fashion show! This free event is a spectacular way for the family to have a terrifyingly good time.

Music at the Beer Garden:

Live music at the DSB Beer Garden with DJ LUVLANGUAGE! Celebrate to some awesome live music and spend your Halloween dancing the night away from 6-9 p.m.

Halloween Costume Contest at Karma Sushi:

For the chance to win a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize participate in Karma's costume contest the day of Halloween from 6-8 p.m. Show off that costume!

Spookytopia at Yucca:

Finish off your Halloweekend with a haunted disco at Yucca! This event is free of charge from 9 p.m.- 2 a.m. Spooky attire is encouraged! This eclectic multi-genre experience will have surprise band and DJ'S to keep you on your toes this Halloween! Proceeds will go to support humanitarian aid in Gaza and The West Bank.

Enjoy a safe and spooky Halloween season! Attend one event or attend them all but most importantly have good time in downtown Flagstaff!
