Category: Downtown Blog
These cooler evenings are the perfect time to enjoy being outdoors. Especially on a First Friday in Downtown Flagstaff! PLUS! There are now tons of expanded public spaces downtown so you can spread out, and enjoy First Friday in the safest way possible. We came up with FIVE different ways you can spend your First Friday. Make sure to mask up and enjoy these socially distant offerings:
1. Explore Galleries
A great way to kick off First Friday is at AZ Handmade Gallery! It will be a First Friday experience you can enjoy from the sidewalk Friday, September 4th from 5pm-9pm! Watch a live painting session with Linda Shearer-Whiting, and music from Brian Sanders. Linda will be painting in the window, and Brian will be playing saxophone at the door!
The gallery will stay open until 9pm, letting a limited number of people in at a time. In addition, AZ Handmade Gallery will also be showing a portion of their Night Visions Satellite Exhibit, part of the Dark Sky Coalition’s Celebration of the night!
Plus, there are many amazing galleries downtown that have a variety of art to explore:
The Artists Gallery
The HeArt Box
Shane Knight Gallery
West of the Moon
2. Pop Up Plant Sale at Rainbow’s End Boutique
