Welcome Summer! With perfect temperatures and sunny skies, it’s time to get outside, and Downtown Flagstaff has an activity for everyone! From Movies on the Square, to Yoga on the Lawn, you’re bound to find the perfect outdoor activity in Downtown Flagstaff! Below is a list of what’s happening this summer:
Movies on the Square, Saturdays, 4pm
You know it’s summertime when Movies on the Square takes place! Each summer the Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance presents Movies on the Square, a FREE, family friendly event on Heritage Square. Movies take place every Saturday and run through Labor Day Weekend (August 31st). The fun begins at 4pm with live, local entertainment and interactive games like corn hole, giant checkers, giant jenga and so many more! Movies begin at dusk, around 7:30pm to 8:00pm. We have a great list of family-friendly titles ranging from new blockbusters to classic movies. Two must see movies are Stars Wars: A New Hope on July 6 and Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets on July 27. To see a full list of movies and activities, visit our Facebook Page!
Flagstaff Community Market, Sundays, 8am - 12pm
Sundays in Flagstaff are defined by attending the Flagstaff Community Market! All of Flagstaff shows up each Sunday to support the local business community. Browse through fresh fruits and veggies, baked goods, and retail all while snacking on tasty food and drinks. The market takes over the City Hall parking lot from 8am - 12pm lasting from May 5th - October 20th. Nothing beats a sunny day at the Flagstaff Community Market! Kids Squared, Wednesdays, 10am - 11am
Just for kids! Kids Squared is a FREE, fun and educational program for kids ranging from 2-12. This event takes place every Wednesday from 10-11am from June 5th - July 31st in Heritage Square. Join us for interactive activities like Steppin’ Up Dance and Movement Class, Environmental Educational Program, Clay for Kids pottery classes, and many more!

Summer Concert Series, Fridays, 6pm - 8pm
Friday nights are for music! The Summer Concert Series begins May 25th and runs through August 31st. The Summer Concert Series is a celebration of music and dance featuring FREE concerts by local and regional artists. Come by Heritage Square throughout the summer from 6-8pm for some great performances.

Yoga on the Lawn, Saturdays, 9am
Yoga on the Lawn is back! Begin your Saturday morning with an outdoor yoga class in beautiful Downtown Flagstaff! This event takes place EVERY Saturday morning at 9am on the County Courthouse lawn, hosted by Holly White! Everyone is welcome whether you are a beginner or experienced yogi. I Heart FLG Community Scavenger Hunt, Saturday, July 27, 4pm - 6pm
Love exploring and winning prizes?! You don’t want to miss the I Heart FLG Community Scavenger Hunt taking place on Saturday, July 27! Participants will have a blast discovering Downtown Flagstaff while completing hilarious and challenging tasks, like “singing the theme song from Friends - including claps,” “act out your favorite rom-com scene,” and “learn a cheer from the official NAU cheerleaders.” Presented by Discover Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance, and Coconino County. Harry Potter Scavenger Hunt, Saturday, July 27, 2pm - 7pm
Calling all witches, wizards, and muggles alike! The 2nd Annual Harry Potter Scavenger Hunt presented by the Boys & Girls Club, Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance, Coconino County Public Library, and Silver Lining Consulting returns Saturday, July 27th! Witness Downtown Flagstaff transform into the magical world of all-things Harry Potter! This is perfect for all ages and is FREE! Take part in completing magical tasks and activities while representing your Hogwarts House! Once you turn in your Marauders Map, take part in free Harry Potter themed crafts and activities, wizarding costume contest and enjoy live entertainment from the Flagstaff Community Band. Winners will be drawn for the scavenger hunt and prizes will be handed out in Heritage Square that night. The day doesn’t end there, stay for a free showing of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! Check out their Facebook page for updates!
Locals’ Night, Tuesday, June 18, 4pm - 7pm
This Locals' Night is going to be PAWSOME!!! Bring your four-legged friend to Downtown Flagstaff on Tuesday, June 18th where more than 30 businesses will offer discounts for humans, and more than 20 businesses will have treats for Fido! In addition, Heritage Square will be filled with puptastic activities such as live music, puppy portraits, and a doggie derby! For more information check out our website!
Annual Greater Flagstaff Chamber 4th of July Parade, July 4th, 9am - 11am
Celebrate the Fourth of July by attending one of Flagstaff’s quintessential events - the Greater Flagstaff Chamber’s 4th of July Parade. Flagstaff Art in the Park, July 5 - 7 AND Aug 31 - Sept 2
Interested in arts and fine crafts? The Flagstaff Art in the Park festival takes place over the Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends at Wheeler Park, a beautiful tree shaded, grassy venue across the street from City Hall. Listen to live music, visit the wine garden featuring Arizona wineries, and stroll among nearly 100 artists from across the Southwest.
