Downtown Shopping Passport: November 24 - January 1

Shop local & win prizes! Over 20 local businesses are participating! Shop at participating businesses OR spend a combined total of $250 from November 24, 2023 through January 1, 2024 and be entered to win some awesome prizes from some of your favorite downtown businesses. The passport will be available at participating downtown businesses. Follow us on social media to see which businesses are participating! 

Shoppers can also earn extra entries by donating to the ‘Howlidays Pawp-Up Pet Photos' fundraiser on Sunday, December 10th, or find a parking aide downtown to sign for paid parking! 

Downtown Slack Friday: November 24

Slack off this Black Friday! No need to wake up early and stand in long lines in the cold to get great deals! Avoid the crowded lines and enjoy Slack Friday while supporting local businesses in Downtown Flagstaff. More than 30 businesses will have a variety of discounts and sales available ALL day and some will even have special treats to enjoy while you shop!

Small Business Saturday: November 25

Continue the fun from Slack Friday and celebrate small business Saturday with local businesses! Numerous businesses from Slack Friday will continue their deals or offer new specials for Small Business Saturday! Deals will be available ALL DAY! Be sure to bring your shopping passport with you! ArtWalk: December 1

December ArtWalk is the perfect time to find one-of-a-kind and locally made holiday gifts! Over 20 galleries and businesses will have holiday markets, unique jewelry, stunning paintings, and more! From 5pm-9pm, enjoy local art, live music, and fun holiday gifts. Plus- a few local galleries are on the Shopping Passport! Keep an eye out for Santa who will make a special stop at ArtWalk!! Downtown Window Decorating Contest: December 1 - December 31

Downtown businesses are gearing up to participate in a friendly competition with the annual Window Decorating Contest. The voting period is from Friday, December 1st - Sunday, December 31st. Voting will take place through the Downtown Flagstaff website with pictures of all the decorated windows posted for viewing. Or take a stroll through Downtown Flagstaff to see the windows and vote on your favorite one! Follow us on Instagram for updates on participating businesses! 

Breakfast with Santa at the Weatherford Hotel: December 2, December 9, December 16

Join the Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance and The Weatherford Hotel for a magical morning! From 9am-11am, enjoy a hot breakfast buffet, holiday crafts, and Christmas tunes! Santa, the guest of honor, will lead in a Christmas story and sing-a-long! Guests are encouraged to dress up in holiday attire or wear their coziest pajamas to look festive for their selfies with Santa!

Winter Movie Series: December 2, December 9, December 16

The Winter Movie Series is back! Join the Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance and The Orpheum Theater and enjoy some of your favorite holiday movies at this FREE, family friendly event! This free event does not require tickets. Doors at 9:30am, with winter crafts to entertain until the movie starts at 10:00am! For more information, click here!

Winter Wonderland & Tree Lighting: December 2

Join The Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance and the City of Flagstaff Parks, Recreation, Open Space & Event to kick-off the Holiday Season with the annual Winter Wonderland & Tree Lighting! Starting at 2:00pm in Heritage Square on Saturday, December 2nd, residents and visitors alike can get in the Holiday spirit with a FREE event for the family! 

There will be FREE hot cocoa, cookie decorating, live music, caroling, crafts, and more! At 6PM, Santa will arrive to light the tree in Heritage Square. For updates, click here!

12 Bars of Christmas: December 9

Drink and be merry! Join us for our 4th annual 12 Bars of Christmas Bar Crawl on Saturday, December 9th from 2:00pm-7:00pm! Bust out your Christmmas attire, ugly sweaters, Santa gear, and get ready for a jolly good time! Take a day off from the stress of the holiday season and treat yourself! The Mayor will host a Festive Fit Contest at 4:00pm, plus The Weatherford Hotel will have a Karaoke After Party at 7:00pm! More information and tickets are for sale here!

Howlidays Pawp-Up Pet Photos: December 10

Stop by Heritage Square with your furry friend(s) on Sunday, December 10th between 10:30am and 12:30pm for a FREE photo with Santa! Coconino Humane Association and High Country Humane will both be present with information and adoptable dogs! We will be collecting donations to support both Coconino Humane Association and High Country Humane.

Holiday Gift Wrapping: December 13

Have items that need to be gift wrapped? From 4:00pm-7:00pm, join us for FREE holiday gift wrapping at The Old Town Shops! Plus, a special guest will be there! 

Find Santa Downtown: December 18 and December 22

Santa will be walking around Downtown Flagstaff on both of these days! Be sure to follow us on Instagram for more details on Santa’s location! 

Noon Years Eve: December 18 and December 22

Ring in the New Year with a FREE, family friendly daytime celebration! Starting at 10:00am in Heritage Square in Downtown Flagstaff, join us for crafts, cookie decorating, a selfie station, and more! At 12 Noon, welcome the New Year with a special Pine Cone Drop and a sparkling apple cider toast to celebrate a sweet new year!

New this year, keep the celebration going all day long! There will be crafts and fun activities all day through 5pm! Click here for updates on this event! 

The Great Pinecone Drop: December 31

Celebrate the start of 2024 with the Weatherford Hotel’s Great Pinecone Drop at 10:00pm and at Midnight! Enjoy music and ring in the new year with this annual local celebration! Follow along for updates here!

Snowflake Festival: December 9

Celebrate the Holidays with this FREE event! From 9am-1pm, enjoy games and crafts, a winter art market, and pictures with Santa! Plus, theFlagstaff Visitor Centerwill be collecting donations for The Giving Advent Box, and Northern Arizona Law Enforcement’s Toy Drive. For more information, click here!

Skate at the Station: December 9 - January 9

An ice skating rink in Downtown Flagstaff? That’s right! Stop by this FREE skating rink open on weekends from 10am-6pm! The rink will open on weekdays from 12pm-6pm and 10am-6pm from December 26 - January 9th. The rink is at the Visitor Center, and operated by the Shadows foundation, a Flagstaff non-profit organization dedicated to assisting those impacted by life threatening diseases.
