11 Ways to Ring in the New Year in Downtown Flagstaff!

2019 has flown by and the decade is officially coming to an end! It’s time to celebrate the start of a new year, a new decade, and new beginnings. Downtown Flagstaff is the perfect place to do so! There will be events happening ALL DAY in Downtown Flagstaff. Here is a look at what is happening, and various ways YOU can ring in the New Year with your friends & family:  

Noon Year’s Eve, at Heritage Square, 10am-1pm

Start your New Year’s celebration early! Presented by the Downtown Business Alliance, this FREE event begins at 10am in Heritage Square with a countdown to noon! The Weatherford Hotel will be dropping their famous Pine Cone, and the countdown will be led by Flagstaff Mayor Coral Evans! There will be crafts and activities including music, pine cone art, noisemakers, snacks and more. After the countdown to noon, we will toast to the New Year (early) with sparkling apple cider and Hershey kisses! This event is open to all ages and perfect for families! Skate at the Station, at The Vistors Center, through January 5th

Enjoy the last days of FREE skating (includes skate rental) at the Train Station Downtown! This event is put on by the Flagstaff Visitor Center & the Shadows Foundation, and is the perfect winter activity if you will be spending the day Downtown. Click here for more information!

Rent a spot at The Market Bar & Kitchen and Collins Irish Pub & Grill!

Head to The Market or Collin's and snag a table to celebrate the New Year with friends & family! Rent out a table or booth at either restaurant, which comes with champagne, an entree pass, PLUS a dance party! Cost is $200 - $300 (price range varies depending on the size of booth or table). New Year Celebration at The McMillan, 9pm-2am

Dinner at Shift Bar & Kitchen, 6pm-9pm

Celebrate the New Year at Shift with a delicious meal! Two seating times are available at 6 and 9 PM. $95/ person, Wine pairings available, Vegetarian and dietary restrictions available upon request! New Year Same Queers, at The Lotus Lounge, 5pm-9pm

Come ring in the new decade at Lotus Lounge! Join them for a dinner performance with ‘New Year, Same Queers,’ an epic drag show! There will be music, drinks & food, plus more! Doors open at 5pm, and the show is from 6-9pm. After the show, late dinner reservations are also available, starting at 9:30pm! Three-Course New Years 's Eve Prix Five Menu, Tinderbox Kitchen

Tinderbox Kitchen just released their New Year's Eve menu created by Chef Mike Schmitz. It is an exciting presentation of dishes calling on ingredients that allow them to reflect on comforts of times past while introducing new elements that inspire hope for a future of good fortune. New Years Eve Masquerade Party, at Firecreek Coffee Company, 10pm-1am

Another fun New Year’s Eve event to attend is at Firecreek Coffee Company for a Masquerade party! Make sure to come incognito with your most creative mask! There will be music by the Eric Nakamoto Jazz Quartet, live circus acts throughout the evening, Burlesque Dancers, and of course a champagne toast at midnight! One of Those Nights! New Years Eve, at The Orpheum Theater, 7:30pm

Lumberyard's Pre-Resolution Bash, at Lumberyard Brewing Company, 10pm-12am

Head to Lumberyard on New Year's Eve to take part in eating and drinking all the things that you will swear off in the New Year and New Decade!  Drink specials include: $6.99 Yard Jars, and $12 Bottles of Champagne! DJXV will be playing all of your favorite dance hits from the decades and as always - NO COVER! The Great Pine Cone Drop, at The Weatherford Hotel, 10pm & 12am

You can’t forget this classic Flagstaff tradition, held in the heart of Downtown! The Great Pine Cone drop is held every year at the Historic Weatherford Hotel and draws out thousands of people to watch the 7 foot tall Pine Cone drop.
