Get your bikes ready Flagstaff because the 18th annual Bike to Work week is here! Flagstaff Biking Organization invites you to participate in all the fun events happening around town Sunday, May 19th until Friday, May 24th.
Sign up for 5 days of Biking Challenge, and win prizes for every day you commute or ride. Ride all five days to be eligible for BIG prizes.
Below is a quick snapshot of events you can expect throughout the week:
Stop by Bike Bazaar on Sunday in Heritage Square 9:00am-1:00pm. This event will include an array of fun; the 17th annual Human powered parade starting at 11:30am, bike and gear swap, $10 helmets for kids and adults, Mountain Line – Bike / Bus Demonstration, free t-shirts, YUM “Bicycle powered” Smoothie Station and more.
Start your Monday right with a free hot breakfast & coffee provided at 7:00am at City Hall before the Commuter ride through town. Swing by Mountain Sports and pick up one of their bike to work Bingo cards! Once you cross off as many Bingo squares you can achieve, return your completed card by May 26th to receive a FREE pair of Darn Tough wool socks!
Tuesday is Bike to School day, grab your backpack and encourage your friends to pedal their way to class!
Wednesday is Bike to Breakfast Day! 6:30am - 9:00am ride your bike through downtown and stop at your favorite breakfast spot.
To win a free “2 for 1” guest pass to Lowell Observatory, challenge yourself and participate in the “Mars Hill Challenge Ride”, Thursday anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Just show your bike helmet to the front desk greeter in the Visitor Center when you reach the top.
End the week with drink specials, live music, family games, giveaways and more at the Bicycle Bash celebrating a week of Bikes 5pm- 8pm at Historic Barrel & Bottle House.
