We have a great slate of queer writing workshops coming made possible by funding from the Northern Arizona Book Festival! Everyone is welcome to attend, though the focus will be on queer identity.

April 4th - Kayleigh Boomgaard
— Climate, Culture, the Body, and Beyond —
Kayleigh Boomgaard is a queer nonfiction writer and poet from Grand Rapids, Michigan who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Writing from Grand Valley State University in 2021 and is currently MFA in Creative Writing candidate at Northern Arizona University. Kayleigh teaches English in the University Writing Program and is currently interning with the Northern Arizona Book Festival while working on a poetry anthology project.
The experience of interrogating and investigating one’s queerness can sometimes bring up strong feelings, so we would like to offer a blanket content note to take care of yourself and not push yourself too hard when participating!
