"We have a great slate of queer writing workshops coming made possible by funding from the Northern Arizona Book Festival! Everyone is welcome to attend, though the focus will be on queer identity.

Born, raised, and still kicking in Mesa, AZ, Skyelyn Riggs-Davis is an up-and-comer on the Arizona poetry scene. From his experience as a bisexual transgender man to his insights as one of the many Arizona-natives watching their home land be bought up by big business, Skyelyn believes poetry can be used to heal and inspire our community. Since taking the stage in September, Skyelyn has taken first place at Ghost Poetry Show, Grand Ave Poetry Slam, and will be competing at the state-level, as well as touring regionally, this year.
