Flagstaff author George Breed will discuss his new book, The Adventures of Stagger Li.
George Breed has made a lifelong study of human consciousness: its depths and heights, its stories, its personal and collective mythology. His new book The Adventures of Stagger Li is a philosophical, fantastical allegory of the hero's journey.
From the Prologue: "To Stagger Li, life was a lick of honey on a razor’s edge. His heart had been broken many times. He did not fear death or life. That is why mountain lions and wolves and other wild things often walked by his side. Walking the path kept his edge…"
George will give a short talk about the mythology behind this book and answer reader questions. Come join us and consider what Stagger Li's fantastical adventures might have to do with our lives.
