You're officially invited to a day of magical mischief in Downtown Flagstaff! Join us for the sixth annual Sorcerer’s Search, a family-friendly scavenger hunt filled with riddles, spells, and surprises around every corner.
Dust off your robes, grab your wands, and prepare to explore the enchanting streets of downtown like never before!
What to Expect:
- Receive your own scavenger hunt map and follow it through Downtown Flagstaff
- Solve riddles, find hidden objects, and complete magical tasks
- Turn in your completed map to be entered into our wizard-themed prize raffle
- Cap off the evening with a FREE outdoor showing of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in Heritage Square at sunset

Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, July 26th, 2025
- Location: Heritage Square & Downtown Flagstaff
- Check-In: 3:00pm – 4:00pm
- Heritage Square (Aspen Ave. between Leroux St. and San Francisco St.)
- Scavenger Hunt: 3:00pm – 6:30pm
- A list of participating downtown businesses will be posted closer to the event.
- Completed maps must be turned in by 6:30pm to be eligible for the raffle!
- Raffle: 6:30pm
- Movie at Dusk: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, bring a blanket and chairs and enjoy!
Bonus Wizarding Fun in the Square:
Stick around Heritage Square after the raffle for more magical activities the whole family will enjoy before the movie begins:
- Potion Tasting with Drinking Horn Meadery
- Wizard Sewing Crafts with Wee Scotty Sews
- Free Dobby Sock Toss - test your aim and see if your throw lands the win!
These activities will run in the square between the raffle and the movie, so don’t disappear after your map is turned in!
Tickets:
- One ticket = one scavenger hunt map = one entry into the raffle
- Families are welcome to complete the hunt together with just one map, but if you'd like additional maps and additional entries into the raffle (for each child, friend, etc.), you’ll need to purchase extra tickets.
- Online ticket sales close: Tuesday, July 23rd at 11:59pm
- Day-of tickets will also be available at check-in (as long as supplies last)
Event T-Shirts:
Pre-orders are now closed. A limited number of shirts will be sold at the event (availability not guaranteed).
This event is family-friendly, and several downtown businesses will offer themed food & drink specials throughout the evening!
