FLAGSTAFF (June 22, 2025) – Picture your favorite house concert—then drop it inside the velvet-draped Orpheum Lounge for one night. That’s what indie-cult duo Wonderlick (Jay Blumenfield & Tim Quirk, founders of ’90s alt-icons Too Much Joy) are building here in Flagstaff on Sunday, August 3.

This is the show you just might brag about catching before the streaming algorithms do.

Wonderlick’s new LP, Wonderlick Goes to War, asks whether two voices and a guitar can still punch holes in modern authoritarian gloom—and answers with hooks you’ll hum on the walk home.

“We want the room to feel like everyone squished onto the same couch—only with perfect sound,” Quirk says.

“Flagstaff’s Orpheum Lounge gives us that and a bar,” Blumenfield adds. “Best couch ever.”
