Experience a deeper way of listening with Shruthi: Sitting Sound Meditation with Śunya, a monthly immersive sound meditation led by Jan Michael at Northern Arizona Yoga Center.

Held on the third Friday of each month, this unique practice combines a 40-minute seated sound meditation with a 20-minute guided integration in Śavasana (final resting pose). Unlike a traditional sound bath, participants remain seated for most of the session, encouraging greater presence, focused awareness, and a deeper connection to the subtle vibrations of sound.

Using resonant instruments, sound is offered both around and on the body to create an immersive meditative experience. Optional mantra chanting is woven into the practice, providing an opportunity for active participation while remaining accessible to those who prefer to simply receive.

Ideal for those with meditation or sound healing experience—or anyone looking to deepen their mindfulness practice—Shruthi offers a unique space to cultivate stillness, clarity, and inner awareness through intentional listening.

Join us each month to explore the transformative power of sound, presence, and meditation in the heart of downtown Flagstaff.
