Join us at Mountain Sports Flagstaff on Friday, June 5 (5–8 PM) as we welcome Paula Greene as our First Friday Artist!
We’re delighted to host Paula, a Prescott-based creative whose original photographic note cards celebrate beauty, gratitude, and meaningful connection. This is a special opportunity to meet the artist behind these heartfelt, one-of-a-kind cards and hear the stories that inspire her work.
A retired university professor, Paula led Teacher Education programming for NAU in Prescott for 18 years and previously taught in Montessori schools in Nashville, Tennessee, where she helped launch both lower and upper elementary programs. She has been in and out of classrooms professionally for more than 43 years—always guided by curiosity, creativity, and care.
Paula’s love of photography began at age nine when she received her first Brownie camera and became the unofficial family photographer. World travels have deepened her eye for beauty in everyday moments, and today she transforms her original photographs into thoughtfully crafted note cards. Each card is arranged individually on an embossed template, titled by hand (often during early 4:00 a.m. writing sessions), and signed—making every piece truly original.
Mother, stepmother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and wife are roles she holds close to her heart, and that spirit of love and gratitude shines through in her work. Her cards are currently carried in select Prescott shops, and we’re thrilled to share them with the Flagstaff community.
Stop by during First Friday to connect with Paula, explore her collection, and celebrate art that reminds us that sometimes, creating and giving “one at a time” is the greatest gift of all.
