Join us at Mountain Sports Flagstaff on Friday, March 6 (5–8 PM) as we welcome Christina Laufer of Silver Unearthed as our First Friday Artist!

We’re thrilled to host Christina, whose jewelry has been part of the Flagstaff community since 2014. With over 15 years of experience in jewelry-making, her work reflects both deep craftsmanship and a distinctly Arizona perspective. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the maker behind Silver Unearthed and experience her pieces in person during Art Walk.

Christina draws inspiration from shapes found in nature and architecture. Through her father’s career in aircraft mechanics, she was introduced to metal forms at an early age and quickly fell in love with the material itself. That early influence sparked a lifelong passion for working with metal.

She has completed coursework in jewelry and silversmithing and holds a degree in Fine Arts from ASU. Her designs feature simple yet elegant forms that highlight the natural beauty of the wearer, often incorporating traditional stamping and classic metalsmithing techniques.

Born and raised in Arizona, Christina moved from her hometown of Yuma to attend ASU, where her love of metal and jewelry design truly took root. Today, she works primarily with sterling silver and carefully selected gemstones, including turquoise sourced right here in Arizona.

Stop by during First Friday to connect with Christina, explore her handcrafted collection, and celebrate local artistry in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. We can’t wait to share an evening of community, craftsmanship, and beautiful jewelry with you!
