Join us for an event 95 years in the making! Lowell Observatory & The Orpheum Presents: I Heart Pluto - A Night of Discovery on Sat. February 15th, 2025 at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff, AZ!
The 2025 I Heart Pluto Festival is an event celebrating the 95th anniversary of Pluto’s discovery on February 18, 1930. It is organized by Lowell Observatory.
On February 15, 2025, Lowell Observatory and the Orpheum Theater present A Night of Discovery, commemorating the 95th anniversary of Clyde Tombaugh’s discovery of the icy world Pluto on February 18, 1930. This is the keynote event of the 6th Annual I Heart Pluto Festival and takes place at the Orpheum Theater. Special guests include Adam Nimoy (television director and son of actor Leonard Nimoy), Dr. Alan Stern (Principal Investigator of the New Horizons Mission to Pluto), and David Levy (co-discoverer of Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9). David Eicher, Editor in Chief of Astronomy Magazine, will moderate discussion with our special guests.
