Introduction to Linocut Printmaking, create gifts for the Holidays.
Sunday, December 12th, 2021 at 12-4pm

The holiday season is a great time to make handmade gifts, here is the opportunity to create special touches for the giving season. Learn the basics of linocut printmaking from start to finish. We will create a design for relief printing, you can create your own or there will be simple designs to use for those who would prefer. We will learn cutting techniques for linoleum and printing a final print at the end with your choice of application such as cards, gift name tags or small artwork. This is a fun technique to learn and you can use this for many reproduction applications.

Friendly, small group setting. Step-by-step instruction with room for your personal creativity.
All levels are welcome, including absolute beginners. Ages – 16 and up

Cost per person $85 includes all materials:
Materials included:
4×6 Linoleum Carving Block – to create prints from
Pencil, transfer
Stock images to choose from if you don’t feel comfortable drawing
Linoleum Cutter, Pencil
Inking Plate, Ink, Brayer
Watercolor Paper to print on

How to create a linocut design with a finished print
Plan out and transfer image to linoleum
Cutting Linoleum Block
Printing Technique

Class size limited to 4 seats, please enroll in advance, purchasing class reserves your seat in class. Social distanced workspace will be provided, masks required during class.
