ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Susan Johnson has lived in her adopted hometown of Flagstaff for more than thirty years. She loves searching out forgotten tales and hidden stories on the people who bought this town to life centuries ago. With her son Nick as manager, Susan helps with Freaky Foot Tours, looking for new haunts to share with others. Besides writing and scaring tourists with ghost stories, she enjoys hiking the trails with her corgi, Shimmer.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
The spirits of the Old West are alive and kicking in Flagstaff. Once home to outlaws and pioneers, many former residents of this small mountain town never left. Read about the ghosts of the Weatherford Hotel, where strange sightings and disturbing events aren’t just confined to the Zane Grey Ballroom. Step inside the Hotel Monte Vista, where locals swear that the Grizzly Meat Man still roams the hallways. Discover the historic train depot, an eternal home to those departed souls that once worked the rails, including a ghostly former train conductor. Join author Susan Johnson as she uncovers the supernatural side of Flagstaff’s fascinating history.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
In the event of inclement weather, the reading will be moved inside Bright Side Bookshop. The Bright Side Bookshop patio is located behind Bright Side Bookshop and can be accessed from the Aspen Avenue alley.
