Join us to enjoy Rising Sol handbeaded earring for this December First Friday Art Walk (just in time for the holidays).
Heather Babbott is the artist behind Rising Sol Handbeaded jewelry. She has always been captivated by the relationship of colors, how they relate to each other and interweave in landscapes. Beadwork provides a space for her to play with tones and texture she finds inspiring.
Heather's love of beadwork began when she was a child growing up in Montana. She has enduring memories of riding down Highway 93 in her grandfather's beat up Ford pickup truck- St. Ignatius bound. Taking in landscapes and hues, Gene Autry playing on the radio, she and her grandfather would land at Doug Allard's Trading Post and sift through the seemingly infinite colors of beads while dreaming up designs.
Heather lives in Flagstaff, AZ with her family.
