Flagstaff, AZ – Creative Flagstaff is excited to announce the 17th Annual Viola Awards, taking place on April 26, 2025, at the Orpheum Theater.
This event honors excellence in arts, science, and culture in Flagstaff, celebrating 17 years with the theme Dancing Queens. The Viola Awards are Flagstaff’s version of the Oscars, bringing together the community to recognize local talent in various fields.
Founded in 2009 to honor Viola Babbitt’s contributions to Flagstaff’s creative community, the event is sponsored by the Babbitt Brothers Foundation and other arts-supporting organizations. This year’s categories include Excellence in Collaboration, Music, Performing Arts, Storytelling, Visual Arts, Education, Community Impact (Individual and Organization), Emerging Artist, and the new Local Artisan Award, recognizing Flagstaff-based artisans.
