More about UNION32:

Union32 is a jazz quintet that has spent more than 15 years doing something deceptively difficult — taking music you already love and making you hear it completely differently. Drawing on an eclectic range of influences from doo-wop to country to classic rock, the group has built a catalog of bold, inventive arrangements that are as wide-ranging as they are cohesive.

Their recorded output began with Wild Horses, a vivid reinterpretation of the music of The Rolling Stones, before following it with The Crunge — an ambitious reimagining of Led Zeppelin's iconic Houses of the Holy. On both records, Union32 does more than cover their source material; they rebuild it from the inside out, amplifying its scope while filtering it through modern jazz sensibilities. The result is music that feels both deeply familiar and genuinely fresh.

This summer, the band expands its reach even further with two collaborative releases — an electronics-laced recording with synth artist Tsone (Tony Obr) and a second project with southwestern Americana duo the Sunshine Ensemble. Together, the releases demonstrate a band as comfortable pushing into new territory as they are revisiting beloved classics.

Union32 is Keith Kelly (bass clarinet, flute, tenor saxophone), Adam Roberts (soprano and tenor saxophone), Brett Reed (vibraphone, percussion), Ben Hedquist (acoustic bass), and Jacob Eary (drums, percussion).
