Small Business Relief Grant Program

Made possible by the City of Flagstaff, Coconino County, and Northern Arizona University

The Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance (FDBA) is pleased to announce a new Small Business Relief Grant Program to help small businesses in the City of Flagstaff and Coconino County as they continue to face the financial impact related to COVID-19. The first round of this program has contributions totaling $30,000 and is supported by the City of Flagstaff, Coconino County and Northern Arizona University.  As funding partners are secured, the process may open to receive additional applications.

The goal of this program is to provide financial assistance to businesses needing help with operational expenses, such as payroll, rent payment, utilities, compliance with COVID-19 regulations, etc. 

Awards:

The FDBA will be the administrators of this program, with additional partners to assist with funding. Current funding partners include: The City of Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University, and Coconino County. Grants ranging from $1,000 - $3,000 will be available and awarded to eligible businesses in the City of Flagstaff and throughout Coconino County. 

Eligibility:

To participate in the program, businesses must meet the following criteria: 
• Qualifying businesses should have 10 or fewer employees. 
• Focus will be on small, independently owned and family owned businesses, and those that have not received PPP or EIDL funds. 
• Applicants must be able to show they have been in business at least one full year.

The commitment is to get funds in the hands of businesses as quickly as possible. The process will be no more than two weeks from the beginning of the application process, to the award of grant dollars. The Micro Grant application opens on Monday, October 12th at noon, and closes Friday October 16th at noon.
